Inside The Islamic State's Terror Weapons Lab

SKY News: Exclusive: Inside IS Terror Weapons Lab

Experts describe the footage obtained by Sky News of a "jihadi technical college" as an intelligence gold mine.

Terror group Islamic State is employing scientists and weapons experts to train jihadists to carry out sophisticated "spectacular" attacks in Europe, while also modifying weapons systems capable of targeting passenger jets and military aircraft.

From a "jihadi university" in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the scientists have stunned western weapons experts by producing a homemade thermal battery for surface-to-air missiles.

It had been regarded as a virtually impossible feat for terror groups working without a military infrastructure.

WNU Editor: Their focus on taking anti-aircraft missiles and refurbishing them to work is what caught my attention (at the 5:20 mark in the above video). What is disturbing is that this is a video that was made to educate other militants on what they can do .... it is not a propaganda video.

The US-led international coalition bombing the group believes the strategy is working

Isis has lost 40 per cent of its territory in Iraq and a fifth in Syria as the so-called “Islamic State” continues to diminish, military officials have said.

A spokesperson for the US-led coalition bombing the group’s territories said the retreat was from militants' point of “maximum expansion” in both countries.

Colonel Steve Warren told a press conference: “The enemy is weaker and on the defensive. They have not gained one inch in Iraq since May.”
